Anzac Day 2018, A Family Affair…

Back to Tewantin for Anzac Day, Janet’s family have a long history of memories..

Janet Kake, an agent for Robert James Realty, in Tewantin, is honoured to be Light Horseman for the Anzac Day March in Tewantin this year.  With her horse Arnie, who she has been riding for 14 years, Janet is especially excited this year to lead the Anzac day parade with other fellow Troopers on the 25th April, 2018 at 9.00am, for the Tewantin RSL as it was her Grandfather’s RSL, Mervyn Bunney.  Janet rides with her good friend, Chad Monroe, a financial advisor at Provision Wealth in Cooroy, who has inspired her for the past 5 years in many Anzac Day parades and also for some local schools.  The parade is starting at the Robert James Realty Office and making it’s way along the main street with an expectant crowd of over 4,000 people.

Janet’s Grandfather, Mervyn Bunney and his wife Nessy (Playford) were well known residents of Tewantin for many years moving in from their Kin Kin farm at Bunney’s Lane for retirement in 1970 and building their home in Hilton Tce, Tewantin.  In Janet’s teenage years her Grandfather, ‘Pop’ would regularly take her up to play pool on the king size table at Tewantin RSL. Pop was a champion pool player.  He also built the original pool cue holders at the Tewantin RSL and they were only just replaced in the last couple of years.

Born and bred in Eumundi, Janet is from a family that originated with the early settlers and has one of the largest families in the area.  Both her parents grew up in the Noosa Hinterland and Janet moved back 14 years ago after breast cancer 2 times to live on her 43 acres on the Cooroy Mountain.  She also manages Eumundi Mountain Retreat in her spare time.  Her love of horses and our Heritage Trails in the Noosa Hinterland is strong and she can often be found in the bush on her horse, of course checking out the local property market that not many people get to by car.

Janet has been selling real estate for 35 years, starting her own business in the 90’s  in Toowong, Brisbane, employing people who had no real estate experience and training them with her own sales systems.  She led many sales people to understand sales, property and creating wealth through property.

Since moving back to the Noosa Hinterland 14 years ago Janet has sold many local properties, only working with referrals or people who approach her for support to sell.

Janet only takes on 3 properties at one time and has a great system to achieve the highest price for the least cost for her sellers.

If you would like to meet with Janet to discuss your property, the market, the area please contact her on 0418 743 732 or janet@primescienceofselling.com.
